Listen to the Cry of the Earth
and the Cry of the Poor
Pope Francis invited the global Catholic community to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Laudato Si’ during Laudato Si’ Week (May 16-24). The Environmental Stewardship Committee of the Diocese of Worcester, is holding a Day of Prayer (see below) for our planet, for our brothers and sisters in need all over the world, for stewardship of the Earth, and for mindfulness in our use of the Earth's resources.
The 'Day of Prayer' will be held on May 18 from 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You are invited to sign-up to pray for an hour or longer as per your convenience. Prayer suggestions are given below but are non-restrictive. Do feel free to add your own prayers, Scripture readings, and reflections. These can be personal, family groups or parish groups.
